Frequently Asked Questions

To assist you more efficiently in the quoting process, I have compiled some of the most frequently asked questions by clients in the section below.

Clients should prepare by providing a clear brief, including brand guidelines, desired outcomes, and any specific requirements. It is also helpful to have a moodboard or examples of style they like.

A shoot can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day, sometimes several days, depending on the complexity and number of items being photographed.

Pre-production, setting up and styling for the shoot all take time to ensure high quality results.

I do both. I have a fully equipped studio space for controlled shoots such as splashes and crashes, but I also work on location for restaurants, cafés etc.

It depends on the client's needs, budget, and scope of the project. I have experience in styling myself, but a stylist can bring an extra level of creativity and expertise to the shoot.

One of the biggest challenges is keeping food looking fresh and appetizing throughout a shoot. Timing and preparation are crucial, as well as having a well-thought-out plan to capture food at its peak.

Post processing of images involves colour correction, retouching to remove any imperfections, cropping to spec, and preparing images to be print-ready, or adjusted for web/social media and other uses.

Post processing of video include ingesting of footage, editing, adding text and special effects, adding sound effects and music, colour grading, and final export.

Turnaround time varies depending on the project size and complexity. I always discuss timelines with the client before starting a project.

As a Sole Proprietor, I am a B-BBEE exempted micro-enterprise.

Because of the highly individual requirements of all clients, all quotes are done on a case-by-case basis.
